Detection of compressed process gaz leaks

Product catalog summary
Introduction
This technical note addresses the detection of compressed process gas leaks in industrial settings, focusing on gases such as carbon monoxide (CO), oxygen (O2), nitrogen (N2), carbon dioxide (CO2), and natural gas.

Problems with Gas Leaks
Gas leaks in industrial installations pose significant issues, including:
  • Safety risks to people and property due to explosive, irritant, toxic, or deadly gases.
  • Increased costs from the loss of gas that is not utilized in the process.
  • Continuous need for gas controllers, sometimes specific to each type of gas.

Leak Detection Solution
The LEAKSHOOTER LKS1000 is recommended for detecting leaks in pressurized gas systems (minimum 300 mBar). This device uses a combination of vision and ultrasonic detection technology, allowing for easy scanning of installations, connections, and valves from approximately one meter away or more. Once a leak zone is identified, a flexible probe can be used for precise leak checking and necessary repairs. The procedure can be conducted with or without headphones, aided by an automatic and dynamic target display on the screen during detection.
