Data sheet QIOTM - CAN I/O Converter DOC-0002782 Rev B The QIOTM - CAN I/O converter is mainly designed to be used as an input signal converter in a machine equipped with CAN joysticks. QIOTM - CAN I/O Converter is used to convert CAN data into analog or digital signals (or vice versa) and make them available to other receiving systems or to directly control a function. Main features • • • • Ensures that the original functions in an excavator can be maintained when replacing original joysticks to CAN joysticks for extended functionality, for example when installing a tiltrotator. Make it possible to shift between functions using the same controls, such as a button or a roller, when there isn´t enough controls for all functions Simplifies expansion of the functionality of an excavator without needing to replace joysticks several times. Makes CAN-signals from joysticks available and configurable so that multiple receiving systems may share the same joystick. When the QIO™ - CAN I/O Converter is installed and connected to a tiltrotator control system developed by SVAB, it is most easily configured via SVAB's Quantum Service Tool, which can be downloaded from the App Store for tablets.
