The Spideradio Marconi L Series is a 4G LTE Distributed Base Station (DBS) system comprising a Baseband Unit (BBU) and multiple Remote Radio Units (RRUs). Network Topology

A single BBU can connect to up to three RRUs via CPRI or eCPRI interfaces, with the option to use a HUB to increase the number of connectable RRUs.

Marconi L Series 4G LTE Distributed Base Station INTRODUCTION The Spideradio 4G LTE Distributed Base Station (DBS) system, Marconi L Series, consists of a Baseband Unit (BBU) and one or multiple Remote Radio Units (RRUs), where a RRU could be a high-power outdoor radio unit or a low-power indoor radio unit. The Marconi L Series 4G LTE DBS provides customers with an advanced, high-performance, distributed wireless solution suitable for multiple scenarios. These combined technologies provide low-cost indoor and outdoor wireless coverage, improving the coverage range, capacity, and eliminating blind spots. NETWORK TOPOLOGY The BBU can realize the most of base station signaling and data processing, including the PHY-layer baseband processing functions and the high-layer radio access network protocol stack functions. Besides, the BBU could realize the centralized control and management of the entire distributed base station system. RRU, as the remote unit, realized the radio frequency (RF) functions of a base station. In this distributed solution, one BBU could be connected to multiple (≤ 3) RRUs by Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI) interface or enhanced Common Public Radio Interface (eCPRI) directly.
