Dehumidifying desiccant dryers

Dehumidifying desiccant dryers

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides detailed information about dehumidifying dryers designed to remove moisture from polymers before processing. These dryers use heated dry air to extract moisture, which is then cycled through a desiccant bed to remove the moisture before repeating the process.
Specifications: The dryers are available in various models with different air flow rates, process temperatures, and dew points. Models range from SDR40 with an air flow of 40 m³/h to SDR350 with an air flow of 5000 m³/h. Process temperatures range from 60°C to 190°C, and dew points range from -30°C to -60°C.
Features: Key features include stainless steel contact parts, microprocessor-controlled functions, accurate temperature control, easy filter access, and a sturdy design for long operational life. The dryers also feature an air/water process heat exchanger and ultra-thick insulation for energy efficiency.
Benefits: The dryers effectively reduce scrap levels by removing moisture, leading to better aesthetic results and improved mechanical properties of the product. They offer a cost-effective and energy-efficient method for drying hygroscopic materials, with a heat recovery system enhancing energy efficiency.
Additional Offerings: Summit Systems also provides a range of other equipment, including gravimetric blenders, vacuum hopper loaders, material dryers, and more, catering to various customer needs in material handling and processing.

Dehumidifying desiccant dryers-1

Drying Technology Dehumidifying Dryers Designed to remove any moisture present in polymer before being processed. Dry air is heated to a specified temperature and fed into a drying hopper containing the material. This hot, dry air draws the moisture out of the material, the saturated air is then fed out of the hopper and back through a desiccant bed to remove the moisture before the cycle begins again. A large range of dryer and hopper sizes are available, dependent upon material type and ■ All contact parts stainless steel ■ All major functions controlled by ■ Accurate control of the drying temperature ■ Easy and safe access to filters ■ Sturdy, well proven design for extended operational life ■ Air/water process heat exchanger ■ Wide variety of models and hopper sizes to meet all customer drying requirements ■ Ultra thick insulation for energy efficiency ■ Reduction in scrap levels due to effective removal of moisture from the material ■ Better aesthetic results ■ Better product mechanical properties ■ Cost effective method of drying hygroscopic ■ Energy efficient 'heat recovery1 system We've got the right dryer for you, Summit Systems Vanguard, Tame Park, Tamworth, Summit Systems Ltd.
