Self Lube Roller Chain BS | Single Pitch | Lube Free | SLR “SLR” type roller chains carry its own high quality lubricant in an impregnated bushing. The sintered bushing keeps the lubrication in the critical bearing area of the pin and bushing where it is needed most. The plates are black-oxide coated for extra protection. “SLR” type roller chain is lubricated prior to delivery. Average Tensile Strength The thickness of the intermediate plate of the multiple strand 08B SLR chain is 1.25mm. Connecting links are “cotter” style for all sizes above 20B SLR. Consult SUGIYAMA for offset links. Service life decreases dramatically if the lubricant in the oil-impregnated bushings is depleted. The lubrication in the oil-impregnated bushings will seep out rapidly when the operating temperature exceeds 70°C. A wet or dusty environment may lead to premature wearing. It is not recommended for applications which are exposed to chemicals or water, or associated with a shock load.
