System Overview
The DM Series Digital Magnetometers utilize STL's advanced high-resolution ADC technology, offering 32-bit resolution and a 26-bit dynamic range. These magnetometers employ fluxgates as magnetic sensors and integrate DXS for enhanced performance. They provide a measurement range up to 1 mT and feature precise digitization immediately after sensor output. The devices measure three orthogonal field components with a maximum sample rate of 10 kHz, maintaining low intrinsic noise levels from 60 pT/√Hz @ 1 Hz to 6 pT/√Hz @ 1 Hz. The system includes digital signal processing to correct geometry and temperature errors, offering a virtual channel for total field measurement. Temperature is measured intrinsically to correct scaling and offset drifts.
