Hand Held Sensors & Probes
Sterling Sensors provides bespoke hand-held sensors and probes for various applications, including food, beverage, and cold storage. A variety of cables for RTDs and thermocouples are available, including materials like PVC, silicone, FEP, PFA, PTFE, fibreglass, and HT fibreglass. The company stocks thermocouple and copper connectors in standard and miniature sizes, along with compression fittings in stainless steel or brass.

All of our RTDs are manufactured in accordance with IEC751 to Class A, B, 1/3 DIN, 1/5 DIN and 1/10 DIN. RTD elements are stocked as PT100 and PT1000, both flat film and wire wound. A range of PTC and NTC thermistors are also available. Comprehensive stocks of stainless steel tube, MI cable, terminal heads, blocks, fittings and other accessories are all held to ensure we can meet all specifications. Sterling Sensors have the capability to manufacture terminal head assemblies with transmitters suitable for ATEX applications.

THERMOCOUPLES Available in types B, E, J, K, N, R, S and T in accordance with IEC584-3 using only Class 1 materials. From a basic bare wire sensor to a more complex Type R assembly (for high temperature applications), Sterling Sensors can satisfy all of your requirements. Terminal heads, blocks, cables, connectors and fittings, in varying sizes and materials, are available to supplement our range of thermocouples.

CALIBRATION Our state-of-the-art laboratory enables us to calibrate not just the products that we manufacture but a wide range of other temperature sensors. Stirred water and oil, fluidised bed and solid block calibrations are carried out in-house. All calibrated sensors are supplied with a UKAS traceable certificate. Selecting the right cable is a critical detail in the design and manufacture of temperature sensors.
