Supplied bespoke for applications ranging from food and beverage to cold storage - in standard thermocouple types K, J and T, with specials available. Sterling Sensors can also supply hand held probes as PT100, PT1000 and various forms of thermistors. Next day delivery is available on a selection of insertion, penetration and surface hand held sensors. We also manufacture semi-flexible mineral insulated hand held sensors for high temperature applications. A range of digital thermometers are available to complement these products.

POCKETS & THERMOWELLS Sterling Sensors manufacture a range of pockets and thermowells, both fabricated and solid drilled. We offer a variety of process connections, including screwed parallel or taper, flanged ANSI or BS EN 1092 for more heavy duty applications, or alternatively we can produce a range of hygienic fittings. Forged and refractory thermowells can be manufactured for high pressure and high temperature applications.

All of our RTDs are manufactured in accordance with IEC751 to Class A, B, 1/3 DIN, 1/5 DIN and 1/10 DIN. RTD elements are stocked as PT100 and PT1000, both flat film and wire wound. A range of PTC and NTC thermistors are also available. Comprehensive stocks of stainless steel tube, MI cable, terminal heads, blocks, fittings and other accessories are all held to ensure we can meet all specifications. Sterling Sensors have the capability to manufacture terminal head assemblies with transmitters suitable for ATEX applications.

THERMOCOUPLES Available in types B, E, J, K, N, R, S and T in accordance with IEC584-3 using only Class 1 materials. From a basic bare wire sensor to a more complex Type R assembly (for high temperature applications), Sterling Sensors can satisfy all of your requirements. Terminal heads, blocks, cables, connectors and fittings, in varying sizes and materials, are available to supplement our range of thermocouples.

CALIBRATION Our state-of-the-art laboratory enables us to calibrate not just the products that we manufacture but a wide range of other temperature sensors. Stirred water and oil, fluidised bed and solid block calibrations are carried out in-house. All calibrated sensors are supplied with a UKAS traceable certificate. Selecting the right cable is a critical detail in the design and manufacture of temperature sensors. Cables for both RTDs and thermocouples are available in many material types, including PVC, silicone, FEP, PFA, PTFE, fibreglass and HT fibreglass. Sterling Sensors stock...
