SL5 Deuterium Halogen Light Source for UV-VIS

SL5 Deuterium Halogen Light Source for UV-VIS

Product catalog summary
Overview: The SL5 Lamp Spectra is a compact deuterium halogen light source designed for UV-VIS applications, covering a spectral range of 190-2500nm. It integrates two light sources into a single unit, featuring both a deuterium bulb and a tungsten-halogen bulb.
Key Specifications:
  • Size: 1.5 x 2.5 x 6 inches, making it compatible with BLUE-Wave or BLACK-Comet spectrometers.
  • Weight: 1 pound (454 g).
  • Power Consumption: 6 Watts with an output regulation of 0.05%.
  • Output: 1 W/m2 with a bulb color temperature of 3000K.
  • Connector: SMA 905 for fiber optic connections.
Features:
  • Dual Lamps: The deuterium and halogen lamps can be individually controlled with a front panel shutter for dark spectra reference.
  • Portability: Combines both lamps into a small enclosure for ease of transport and reduced complexity.
  • Accessories: Includes options for a cuvette holder (SL5-CUV) and a filter holder (SL5-FILTER) with a DCX lens for 2x signal gain.
Applications: Suitable for transmission and absorbance measurements using standard 1cm UV grade cuvettes. The SL5-FILTER allows for special excitation applications with 0.5-inch diameter filters.
Limitations: The SL5 is low power and not suitable for use with a reflectance probe. For higher power needs, consider the SL3 or SL4 models.
Pricing:
  • SL5 Deuterium / Tungsten UV/Vis/NIR Lamp: $1,695
  • SL5 with Cuvette Holder: $1,945
  • SL5 with Filter Holder: $1,945
  • Lens DCX add-on for 2x gain (SL5-FILTER only): $100

SL5 Deuterium Halogen Light Source for UV-VIS-1

SL5-CUV SL5 190-2500nm Spectral Range - Combines two light sources into one small package with deuterium bulb plus tungsten-halogen bulb in one fiber optic connection. Miniature Size - Its small size of 1.5 x 2.5 x 6" makes it a perfect match for our BLUE-Wave or BLACK-Comet spectrometers. Dual Lamps - The deuterium and halogen lamps can be individually turned on/off and have a front panel shutter control button for taking a quick dark spectra reference. Portability - The combination of both lamps into one small enclosure saves money and reduces complexity to provide the ultimate UV-VIS light source for portability. > The SL5 Deuterium Tungsten Halogen Light Source-is a miniature Deuterium and halogen light source that covers the 190-2500nm range. The lamp combines the Deuterium Spectrum with the Tungsten Halogen spectrum to form a single optical path. The deuterium and halogen lamps can be individually turned on or off and have a front and rear panel shutter control. The SL5-DH lamp connects via fiber optic cable to cuvette holders, dip probes, and flow cells, with the return signal routed to the spectrometer via SMA 905 input connector. > SL5-CUV adds an external cuvette holder that is ideal for transmission and absorbance measurements for liquids using standard 1cm UV grade cuvettes. > SL5-Filter adds a nose cone to allow insertion of 0.5 inch diameter UV/VIS/NIR filters for special excitation applications. DCX lens option for x2 signal gain. SL5 Light Source and Accessories Please note the SL5 is low power and cannot be used with a reflectance probe >> See the SL3 deuterium or SL4 deuterium plus halogen light sources.
