The product flows through the surge hopper to the gravity feed unit and then into the weigh hopper. After the product has been weighed, the weigh hopper opens and discharges the product. The weighing control unit is a state-of-the-art PLC system with a Siemens SIWAREX FTA electronic weighing module that can be calibrated. It is operated via a touch panel. The net weigher consists of a welded base frame which has the gravity feed unit with coarse and fine dosing and the weigh hopper mounted on it. The removable covers make servicing the machine easy. There is also a connection for a dust extraction system on the base frame.

It has two symmetrical opening flaps which are opened using pneumatic cylinders. The weighing cells are also connected by shielded cables to the microprocessor that controls the weigher. Up to 50 different parameter sets can be stored for different products and weights.
