PP fabric tape is used for this purpose to ensure a reliable and secure seal. If necessary, the bags can also be sewn shut. Pillow and gusset bags can both be securely sealed. The sealing technology makes it easier to handle dusty and odorintensive products in the food and feed industry. During operation, the filled bags are transported to and from the bag sealing system via a conveyor belt. A sensor detects the bag’s position and automatically pulls it into the trimming area. After trimming the top edge of the bag to size, PP fabric tape is pulled over the open edge of the bag in order to then seal it with hot air. Generated by a heater that heats the sucked in air, the hot air heat-seals the bag to be airtight and odor-neutral. The bag can also be optionally sewn shut. In this process, the bag is pulled in and first sewn using an integrated sewing head, then the top of the bag is trimmed to size and then heat-sealed shut with PP fabric tape.
