Overview
The document details the design, manufacturing, and integration of a lateral winching solution for Renault Trucks, specifically for use by the Red Cross. The solution includes a hydraulic winch system capable of self-recovery and haulage in both forward and backward directions.

Objectives
The primary objective is to provide a lateral winch and wire rope management system that can be controlled from inside the vehicle cabin. This system is designed to enhance the operational capabilities of the Red Cross's 4x4 vehicles.

Challenges
The main challenge was to implement a winching solution that allows for effective self-recovery and haulage in various directions, ensuring reliability and ease of use.

Starter Solution
The solution involves the installation of an ATLAS 120 L winch on the left side frame rail of the vehicle. The system includes a forward and backward wire rope management system using roller bearing components, five front pulleys, a rear roller, and two half-shell trumpets for rope output. Additionally, a complete hydraulic generation system comprising a pump, tank, distributor, and filter was defined and implemented.
