One-Hour Cure Armature Balancing Putty BC-28 is a two-part epoxy balancing compound for use in weight addition balancing of electric motor armatures. BC-28 has a smooth, fibrous, putty-like consistency, which keeps the compound from migrating during the balancing process. The two parts of the putty, parts A and B, are mixed 1:1 by volume or by weight. The Blue Part A and the Yellow Part Bare easily mixed by hand until the color is a consistent Green. The BC-28 may then be placed on the motor armature as indicated until the armature is in balance. The working life of the mixed BC-28 is less than 1 hours depending upon mass and temperature. Overnight, BC-28 cures to a solid, which resists moisture and solvents. Mixed material can be frozen to slow cure during an 8 hour period. This product may contain fillers that may settle over time. Product may need to be stirred before using. Customer must determine suitability of product before using. BC-28 is in compliance with European Directive 2002/95/EC on the reduction of hazardous substances.
