FORMULATING • INNOVATIVE • SOLUTIONS 15 Minute Working Life Armature Balancing Putty BC-24 is a two-part epoxy balancing compound used in weight addition balancing of electric motor armatures. BC-24 has a smooth, fibrous, putty-like consistency, which keeps the compound from migrating during the balancing process. The two parts of the putty, parts A and B, are mixed 1:1 by volume or by weight. The Blue Part A and the Yellow Part Bare easily mixed by hand until the color is a consistent Green. The BC-24 may then be placed on the motor armature as indicated until the armature is in balance. The working life of the mixed BC-24 is approximately 15 minutes, depending on mass and temperature. Overnight, BC-24 cures to a solid, which resists moisture and solvents. This product may contain fillers that may settle over time. Product may need to be stirred before using. Customer must determine suitability of product before using. BC-24 is in compliance with European Directive 2002/95/EC on the reduction of hazardous substances. 15 Minute Working Life Armature Balancing Putty APPLICATION PROCEDURES Carefully weigh out appropriate amounts of resin and hardener into a clean mixing container and thoroughly mix until all streaks and striations are gone. CAUTION: Unmixed compound from the sides or bottom of the container can cause soft spots or uncured areas in the completed piece.
