Tool Control Methods Control Methods continued Clutch Actuated Shut Off: Clutch actuated shut off tools use a fast acting torque sensing clutch to disengage the motor from the drive spindle at a preset torque level. The system also shuts off the power to the motor. This fast shut off reduces the effect of operator technique on the applied torque value and the torque reaction impulse felt by the operator.
