Handling & Assembly Instructions: Proper lead clamping or heat sinking techniques should be used to prevent mechanical and/or heat stress during soldering and welding. Mechanical shock from dropping the sensor may alter its magnetic sensitivity or destroy it. Reflow soldering conditions should follow JEDEC norm J-STD-020D.1.

Life Test Data: The life expectancy of reed switches decreases with load increase. Typical number of operations varies with different voltage and current combinations.
