Fabric Over foam - 2

Metallised fabric is made from nylon or polyester and covered with a fine metallization. To ensure good mechanical strength and high corrosion resistance, the metallization is protected by a conductive varnish. The fabric is then applied to extruded foam. Gaskets made in this way offer flexibility, lightness and good shielding effectiveness Examples of applications: - Input/Output port (I/O) - Data processing - Broadcast, Telecommunications - 19" system - Front panel, plug-in module Advantages: - Flexible - Multitude of contact points - Nonabrasive - Economical - Cutting to required...

EPDM profiles covered with metallised fabric Part number The use of these gaskets makes it possible to achieve a sealing level= IP55 (according to test IEC529) * The fabric only covers half the EPDM gasket. This solution has the advantage of insulating the conducting part of the exterior environment, thus protecting it against corrosion. The conductive fabric can cover the profile from above or from below the profile (7G6 and 7G8 profile only) Cover from above Cover from below These tests were carried out in laboratory conditions which are not representative of working conditions.
