Electrolyte etching machine for marking on steel covers for operating cases This customer designed marking system was build for electrolyte etching marking of operating cases for chirurgical instruments. The machine consist of two separate working stations. At the first station the cover of operating cases will be marked. The covers are in three different lengths. The marking dimensions are up to 340x100mm. As well the small cover is marked in this station. For the fast change over from one cover size to another one the jig is positioned on X-Y-Z crossing table. Also the frame holders are made with pin holes. At this way it´s possible to the conversion between minutes. As marking machine the screen printing machine SP-400 was modified for electrolyte etching. The use of an automatic electrolyte pump guaranties a perfect marking. In the second station the covers are market with the sign for the opening symbol at the right and left cover end. At the small cover the part number is getting marked. For the sign “Synthes” and the instruction on the small cover the SP-400 is modified with one marking head for electrolyte etching. The automatic electrolyte pump is included in the machine concept.
