Winding shorts and insulation faults within a winding can thus be detected before the fault affects the test item. Failures of electric motors and associated recalls can thus be avoided. The integrated partial discharge measurement is ideally suited for use in the laboratory and in production. Active sensors are available for partial discharge measurement, enabling reproducible measurements.
