Main Connection Types for Device Under Test (DUT)

This document outlines the connection methods and cable specifications for various electrical safety and function tests on devices under test (DUT), specifically for mains connections involving Line (L), Neutral (N), and Protective Earth (PE).

1. Ground Bond Test

• Connection Method: Via crocodile clip or IEC 60320 socket.
• Connector Types: 2 x 4 mm banana plugs.
• Cable Lengths Available: 2 m (6.6 ft), 5 m (16.4 ft), 10 m (32.8 ft), 15 m (49.2 ft).
• Applicable Devices: P 6600H, P 6600U.

2. High Voltage Test / Insulation Measurement

• Connection Methods: 2 x crocodile clips or IEC 60320 socket; also 1 x 4 mm banana plug or 1 x ST 14 high-voltage plug; alternatively 2 x ST 14 high-voltage plugs.
• Cable Lengths Available: 2 m (6.6 ft), 5 m (16.4 ft), 10 m (32.8 ft), 15 m (49.2 ft).
• Applicable Devices: HA 6680U, IS 6600H, IS 6680H.

3. Safety and Function Test / Safety Test (without Leakage Current Test - LCT)

• Connection Methods: 3 x crocodile clips or IEC 60320 socket; 2 x 4 mm banana plugs or 2 x ST 14 high-voltage plugs; combinations vary depending on device.
• Cable Lengths Available: 2 m (6.6 ft), 5 m (16.4 ft), 10 m (32.8 ft), 15 m (49.2 ft).
• Applicable Devices: S 6700U, KT 6780H, S 6600U, KT 6680U.
• Note: LCT stands for Leakage Current Test, which is excluded in this test configuration.

Additional Notes

• European standards use a comma as the decimal separator, whereas the USA uses a period.
• Cable lengths are standardized across all connection types to ensure compatibility and flexibility.
