VHT vent heads

VHT vent heads

VHT vent heads

Product catalog summary
Overview: Spirax Sarco VHT vent heads are designed for vertical open-ended steam vent pipes, ensuring safety and environmental protection by discharging dry steam at low velocity. This minimizes injury risks, building damage, and water spray nuisance.
Functionality: The VHT vent head directs steam flow over an internal disc, creating a toroidal vortex that separates water droplets from the steam. These droplets coalesce and are driven towards an internal drain, preventing external discharge.
Environmental Protection: The VHT vent head features an internal drain to recover condensate, reducing carbon and CO2 emissions and preventing hot condensate from exceeding temperature limits for ground drainage.
Installation: Detailed sizing, selection, and installation instructions are provided to ensure safe and effective use. The vent heads are suitable for various applications, including blowdown vessels, condensate pump receivers, boiler feedtanks, and more.
User Benefits: Key benefits include efficient moisture separation, condensate recovery, durable stainless steel construction, no need for external pipework, minimal maintenance, and easy installation due to its lightweight design.

VHT vent heads-1

for safety and environmental protection Simple, effective vent heads for increased safety and environmental protection Spirax Sarco VHT vent heads are suitable for vertical open-ended steam vent pipes. The vent head is designed to safely discharge dry steam to atmosphere at low velocity, protecting personnel from injury, buildings from damage and minimising the nuisance of water spray on the surroundings. How the VHT vent head works Steam flow entering the vent head is directed over an internal disc and forced into a toroidal vortex, causing entrained water droplets to be flung outwards and 'wetting out' onto the internal surface of the vent head. As these droplets coalesce they are driven towards the internal drain by the ‘downward’ rotation of the toroidal vortex. Screwed version VHT2S show

VHT vent heads-2

Environmental protection Environmental concerns drive the need for innovative products that save valuable resources whilst achieving reductions in carbon and CO 2 emission. The new VHT has been designed with an internal drain feature to recover valuable condensate that would have otherwise been discharged to an external drain, with the possibility of hot condensate exceeding temperature limits for ground drainage pipework. Installation For sizing and selection and range available see the Technical Information sheet for VHT vent heads. All products ordered will be supplied with a copy of our Installation...
