Overview: This document provides specifications for Spheric Trafalgar reference/tooling balls, detailing five types with specific measurements and tolerances.

General Specification: All types maintain a concentricity of ball to stem within 5µm/0.0002 TIR.

Type 1:

• Measurements include ball diameter, length, and stem diameter.
• Examples: 6mm ball with 12mm length and 3mm stem diameter; 0.2500" ball with 0.500" length and 0.1250" stem diameter.

Type 2:

• Includes ball diameter, length with a tolerance of +/-5µm, and diameter with a tolerance of +0.00-5.0µm.
• Examples: 6mm ball with 6mm length and 3mm diameter; 0.2500" ball with 0.2500" length and 0.1250" diameter.

Type 3:

• Features ball diameter, length with a tolerance of +/-5µm, and thread specifications.
• Examples: 6mm ball with M3 thread; 0.2500" ball with 6-32 thread.

Type 4:

• Includes ball diameter, length with a tolerance of +/-5µm, diameter with a tolerance of +0.00-5.0µm, and thread specifications.
• Examples: 6mm ball with 3mm diameter and M2 thread; 0.2500" ball with 0.1250" diameter and 2-56 thread.

Type 5:

• Consists of ball diameter, length, and thread specifications.
• Examples: 6mm ball with 8mm length and M2.5 thread; 0.2500" ball with 0.312" length and 4-40 thread.
