Important Notes on Component Selection
  • A shut-off valve should be installed in the supply line to the pressure regulator to allow observation of pressure gauges when the valve is opened.
  • A shut-off valve is required in the piping between the pressure regulator and the tapping point if there is no means of shutting off the line at the tapping point or if the tapping point is far from the pressure regulator.
  • The downstream pipework must be designed for at least 20% above the maximum regulator outlet pressure to ensure the relief valve can open.
