Features
The Alcoa Fastening Systems 5F Series offers a maximum tensile strength of 670N and a working load of 450N. It includes a plastic washer stud assembly to protect decorative surfaces and a spring-loaded receptacle.

Selection Instructions
1. Select the stud assembly and receptacle from pages B-2 and B-4.
2. Choose a retaining washer or grommet from page B-3.
3. Determine the stud length number using the total thickness G with the provided formula and table.
- With retaining washer: G = P + F
- With grommet: G = P + F + 1.4

Stud Length Table
The table provides preferred dash-lengths for various total thicknesses, ranging from 0.50 to 8.50.

Stud Assemblies
The document details two styles of stud assemblies: Slotted Recess Head and Cross Recess Head. Both styles are available in steel with zinc plating and CrVI-free clear passivation, with plastic washers. The Cross Recess Head is also available in stainless steel with a stainless steel washer, offering a tensile strength of up to 470N.

Stud Installation Instructions
Installation dimensions and accessories are specified for different panel thicknesses. Retaining washers and snap-in grommets are available for various panel thicknesses, with specific part numbers provided.

Receptacle
The receptacle section describes Type 1 receptacles with rivet/screw mounting options. Materials include steel with zinc lake coating and stainless steel, with temperature ratings of 180°C and 200°C respectively. Part numbers are provided for each type.
