Introduction

Specifications
The HTECH Spiral features an entirely captured acetal chain design, which is securely held in place by hold-down tabs along the spiral path. This design eliminates the need for tenting, take-ups, tensioners, or adjustments. The acetal chain is resistant to oxidation, easier to clean, and lighter than stainless steel.

Design and Technology
The conveyor eliminates the traditional up and down catenary festoon by using chain compression to manage excess chain at the tension drive exit. It employs a direct-drive, shaft-mounted SEW Eurodrive gearmotor or an internal ring gear drive system, which avoids lubrication issues and maintenance challenges associated with traditional sprockets and roller chains. This design is also cleaner than exposed roller chain drives.

Performance
The HTECH Spiral conveyor is capable of continuous operation at speeds up to 450 feet per minute, which is approximately four times faster than conventional spiral systems.
