Product catalog summary
Introduction
SOMAS manufactures quarter turn valves designed for rapid opening and closing. However, caution is advised when using levers with valves larger than DN 80 to prevent rapid flow changes. A worm gear is recommended if there is any uncertainty.

Specifications
  • Lever Type HK115 and HK125: Designed for ball segment and ball valves, sizes DN 25-40 (HK115) and DN 50 (HK125). Features include adjustable travel stops and lockable positions. Made from steel with an epoxy coating.
  • Lever Type HSR: Suitable for ball segment valves DN 65-100, butterfly valves DN 80-125, and ball valves (type SKV) DN 50. It includes adjustable travel stops and lockable positions. Made from stainless steel and delivered unpainted.
  • Gear Unit: Compatible with all SOMAS valves, available in various sizes. Features adjustable travel stops, valve position indication, and an epoxy coating. Optional gear units for "on-deck" applications are painted according to Jotun's specification "BSK-99 Corrosion Class C5 M, type code 57.09".

Lockable Design
  • Hand Lever: The HSR type can be locked with a padlock in closed or open positions. HK115 and HK125 can be equipped with a locking device.
  • Gear Unit: Can be equipped with a locking device to secure the valve in any position. Locking devices can be retrofitted.

Options and Mounting
  • Standard mounting for hand levers and gear units is perpendicular to the pipeline (Position A). Other positions (B, C, D) are available upon request.
  • Gear units can be equipped with limit switches and transmitters for electrical indication. Contact SOMAS for switch selection.

Manual actuators-1

Edition: 2006-05SOMAS manufactures quarter turn valves which can be opened or closed very quickly. It is not advisable in many systems to increase or decrease flow too rapidly and the use of a lever with valves ֖ sizes larger than DN 80 should be considered very carefully. Use a worm gear in case of uncertainty. > Hand lever type HK115 is designed for use with ball segment and ball valves, sizes DN 25 - 40. The hand lever type HK125 is designed for use with ball segment valves, size DN 50. Both types have adjustable travel stops and can be locked in any position. These hand levers are made from steel and are epoxy coated. See data sheets Si-101 EN and Si-706 EN (DN 25 ֖ 40) for measurements. > Hand lever type HSR is designed for use with ball segment valve DN 65 100 , butterfly valves DN 80 - 125 and ball valves (type SKV) DN 50. The lever has adjustable travel stop and can be locked in any position. The hand lever type HSR is made from stainless steel and is delivered unpainted.See data sheets Si-101 EN, Si-110 EN, Si-203 EN, Si-205 ENand Si-706 EN (DN 50) for measurements. > The standard hand lever type HSR can be locked with a padlock the valve in closed or open position while HK115 and HK125 can be equipped with a locking device. > The gear unit is designed for use with all types of SOMAS valves. It is available in several sizes in order to cover all valve dimensions. The gear unit has adjustable travel stops and shows the valve position by an indication on top of the gear. The gear unit is flush tight and is epoxy coated. See the data sheet for each valve to get the correct measurements. Option: Gear units for on-deckӔ applications are paintedaccording to the company Jotun and the specification BSK-99 Corrosion Class C5 M, type code 57.09Ӕ.
