Product catalog summary
Components
  • GaugerGSM
  • Mechanical arm
  • Battery pack
  • Programmable Timer Switch (PTS)
  • Cables
Arm Types
The arm must securely hold the sensor above the sewage pipe/tunnel and allow precise placement. Options include fixed or stretchable length, with a rotating swivel for narrow manholes. Material should be non-corrosive, like stainless steel.
Vertical Placement of Sensor
  • Sewage Monitoring Applications: Position GaugerGSM 15cm above the highest expected sewage level with a beam angle of 15° or more.
  • Overflow Alert Applications: Place GaugerGSM as high as possible below the manhole cover. Refer to the user manual for configuration.
  • For poor cellular reception, install an external GSM antenna near the manhole cover.
  • Locate the battery pack near the manhole cover for easy replacement.
Horizontal Placement of Sensor
Position the sensor above the middle of the sewer pipe or tunnel. At junctions, place it over the widest sewage cross-section. Avoid torrents, wavy waters, or waterfalls.
Installation Steps
  1. Drill holes to fix the arm.
  2. Connect the arm.
  3. Prepare or order cables of appropriate length for connections. Ensure the battery pack cable allows for easy removal.
  4. Treat cables against pests using pesticides or conduits.
  5. Connect the battery pack, PTS, and GaugerGSM outside the manhole. Configure and test the system before installation.
  6. Test the complete system, including the control center.
Final Assembly Examples
Illustrations or examples of the final assembly are provided to guide the installation process.
