Product catalog summary
Installation Tips for MonoScan/MicroScan - 5P
Power: The voltage must be at least 12 volts at the terminals. Batteries should be rated higher than 12 volts to account for voltage drop. Rechargeable supplies must be non-operational when recharging. PLC connections should follow the user manual and be grounded.
Pipes: Extension pipes must have a minimum internal diameter of 3.5 inches and a maximum length of 25 cm. Preferably, they should be plastic and not protrude into the tank.
Positioning: The distance to tank walls must be at least 50 cm, with an additional 10 cm spacing for each meter in range. The sensor must be exactly perpendicular to the target surface.
Programming: Tank height and level/distance must be configured correctly. SBD must be configured for flange/extension pipe installations. Interfering signals should be defined when the tank is empty.
Physics: Acoustic noise and vibrations should be minimized to reduce echo interference. Physical obstacles and dust must be absent along the echo path. Electrical interference should be shielded away from power and sensor cables.
