SISTEMAS DESSoC - D60 SOLAR ILUMINACIÓN 2 AX IS ACCUR ATE SUN SENSOR SSoC-D is a miniaturized digital sensor for the sun position determination Sun Sensor on a Chip (SSoC), is based on MEMS fabrication processes to achieve highly integrated sensing structures at low cost for high accurate sun-tracking and positioning systems. SSoC-D device measures the incident angle of a sun ray in both axis. It includes a microprocessor that directly provides the sun light incident angles and their derivatives without external calculations, via RS-422 interface. The high sensitivity is based on geometrical dimensions of the design. The use of a metal shield and a cover glass minimizes the ageing of the device under high radiation levels. Every sensor is calibrated and includes an internal thermistor. SECCIÓN LONGITUDINAL Satellite attitude determination. Accurate Sun position determination. Satellite solar panel positioning. Attitude control and failure alarm. Satellite positioning in specific trajectory points. Balloons and UAVs control. Qualification Status: Flight model. Extended temperature range: -40º to 85ºC. Random vibration: 10 g @ 1KHz. Mechanical shock: 50-3000g 1-100ms. Cumulative radiation dose: 300 kRads. LET Threshold: 6MeV/mg/cm2. Thermal cycling and vacuum tests. Mechanical layout and interface dimensions of the SSoC-D60. Technical specifications Parameter Angular size of the view cone Average current Supply voltage Sensor type Mass Communication protocol Digital I/F: SPI or UART over balanced RS-422 The Engineering Model (SSoC – D60LC) is also available under request.
