2.Function descriptions 2.1 Display functions Display functions involve power switch and digital barometer. • power switch ’ The power switch is the master switch of internal circuit of the SCB-18IAS controller. After constructing the power supply circuit and pressing the power switch, the indicator light of the switch turns on. And blue light indicates normal internal power supply and using or debugging of the controller is available. Instructions of use for electric port(CHl) The electric port(CHl) is the port for I/O signals and power input. Its terminals and corresponding functions are shown in figure above. PIN1 and PIN2 are power supply ports of the controller, which requires 24V DC power supply with at least 50W. PIN3 is reserved port. COM is the common port for input signal. 3. Installation 3.1 Installation and fixing Mounting holes are located at the bottom side of SCB-18IAS controller, and their dimensions are listed below. Please use M3 screws when fixing the controller. Notes for installing the controller! • Make sure that the device is fixed firmly during installation. • Do not squeeze any air tube or wire while fixing the device. • Do not place the controller high to prevent damage of the controller caused by falling.

SCB-18IAS Active Pneumatic Controller 3.2 Pneumatic connection Before connecting the gas circuit, please place the SCB-18IAS controller in safe position. Please fix the controller well and prevent its falling, and do not place the controller in sealed box. Make sure that the iplOmm air tube is long enough to reach the air input port of the controller. The tp6mm air outlet tube should connect to the soft gripper after passing through the filter, with its length between 1 and 5 meters. 3.3 Circuit connection Before connecting circuit, the distance between controller and manipulator/PLC should be less than 3m. Please make sure that the DB9 serial port cable is installed firmly when debugging or communicating the controller. When connecting the circuit, make sure the 6-pin plug is firmly connected, and the lock nut is fastened. Please read 2.3 input and output when wiring in order to ensure correct circuit connection.
