WINDING TECHNOLOGY SERIES W400 / W500 / W600 CALENDERING Series W400 / W500 / W600 for calendering lines Series W400 / W500 jumbo roll winders can produce rolls with diameters of up to 2,000mm, which minimises the downtimes caused by roll changes in inhouse thermoforming applications. Each winder consists of two A-frame winding trolleys with 3- or 6-inch pneumatic winding shafts. The twin-trolley principle means that while one trolley is in active operation, the other is on stand-by for a roll change. the control panel and the winding speed accelerated thus releasing the lm stored in the accumulator. Series W600 cantilever winders operate according to the same principles as mentioned above, although xed winding stations with cantilever shafts are used instead of A-frame winding trolleys. The operator merely has to attach the sheet onto a new core and then presses a foot pedal so that a few layers of sheet are wound on.
