Hypertac® Hyperboloid contact: This contact technology provides a long lifespan with over 100,000 mating cycles. It features low insertion and extraction forces, reduced contact resistance, higher current ratings, and resistance to shock and vibration. Additionally, it offers a 360º contact wipe and is RoHS compliant with Exemption 6c.
Quadrax contact: Designed for high-speed Ethernet signal transmission up to 100 MHz, this contact includes an outer shield with four inner paired conductors forming two 100 Ohm differential pairs. It complies with Ethernet 10-Base-T / 100-Base-Tx - Category 5E standards and is RoHS compliant with Exemption 6c.

INTERCOMPACT Series Features & Benefits

The series offers 60 and 41 way signal configurations with Hypertac® Hyperboloid contacts and 42 ways signal with 1 or 2 high-speed quadrax 100 Ohm contacts for Ethernet versions.
It complies with European Railway standards (EN45545-2, NF F61030, EN50155:2017, STM-S-001ind.D) and MIL-C-28748, MIL-STD-202-301 standards.
Insulators are made from Liquid Crystal Polymer to optimize insulation resistance.

Technical Characteristics

Signal Configurations: Supports up to 60 hyperboloid contacts.
Ethernet Configurations: Supports up to 42 hyperboloid contacts and 2 quadrax contacts.
Materials & Platings: Contacts are gold over nickel plated, and the insulator is made of Liquid Crystal Polymer.
Mechanical & Environmental: The connectors exceed 500 mating cycles, operate within a temperature range of -55°C to 125°C, and comply with vibration and flammability standards.
Electrical: The current rating is 3 A per contact for signal and 0.75 A for Ethernet, with a withstanding voltage of 1500 V DC for signal and 800 V DC for Ethernet.

Design and Assembly Notes

PCB connectors come with 60 bended pins Ø1 and require specific assembly instructions, including protection against varnish and optional assembly aids.
Connectors are delivered without contacts, which must be ordered separately.
