Product Overview
The BASICEVO Infrared Gas Sensor by smartGAS Mikrosensorik GmbH is designed for detecting Refrigerant R1234ze with a measurement range of 0 to 2000 ppm. It is pre-calibrated, features low drift, and operates with a supply voltage of 3.3 to 6 V DC. The sensor communicates via Modbus ASCII or RTU and indicates status through an LED.

Applications
This sensor is suitable for use in hotel air conditioning, food storage rooms, industrial refrigeration, food transport, and research.

Accessories include a connect interface, wall mount enclosure, calibration software, and mounting equipment. It can also be used as a complete transmitter.

General Features
The sensor uses a Non-Dispersive Infra-Red (NDIR) dual wavelength measurement principle. It has a compact size of 62 mm x 37 mm x 30 mm and requires less than 30 minutes to reach full specification after startup.

Measuring Response
The response time is approximately 60 seconds with a digital resolution of 1 ppm. It has a detection limit of ≤ 10 ppm and repeatability of ≤ ± 20 ppm. Long-term stability is ≤ ± 30 ppm for zero and ≤ ± 40 ppm for span over a 12-month period.

Influence of Environmental Factors
Temperature dependence is ≤ ± 3 ppm per °C for zero and ≤ ± 6 ppm per °C for span. Pressure dependence is +0.100% of the actual reading per hPa.

Electrical Parameters
The sensor operates with a supply current of < 400 mA at 3.3 V and < 240 mA at 5.0 V, with an inrush current of < 450 mA. Average power consumption is < 800 mW.

Climatic Conditions
It operates within a temperature range of -20 to +40 °C and can be stored between -20 to +60 °C. It functions in air pressure conditions of 800 to 1150 hPa and ambient humidity of 0 to 95% (non-condensing).
