General Specifications
The USM Area Velocity Flow Meter operates using ultrasonic velocity measurement and pressure depth measurement. It has a velocity range of 0-10 m/s and a depth range of 0.03m to 10m. The sensor operates effectively within a temperature range of -20°C to 50°C (-4 to 122°F) and offers an accuracy of 0.2% of the measurement range with a resolution of 1 mm. The sensor dimensions are 103mm (L) x 46mm (W) x 25mm (H), and it comes with a standard cable length of 8 m. Sensor fixings include a flat plate for channels or an optional adjustable strap for pipes.
Display and Security
The device features a 3” Graphic LCD with a resolution of 128*64 pixels, displaying white on blue with a backlight. Security is ensured through a user-selectable passcode.
Data Logging and Reporting
It includes a 4 GBytes SD card data logger capable of storing data for over 20 years. The reporting software is Windows-based, allowing for data display, printing of data tables, graphs, and exporting data to Excel.
Outputs
The flow meter provides a 4-20mA analogue output, fully galvanically isolated into 1K, with a bar graph display indicator. Communication is facilitated via RS485 Modbus RTU. It also includes three user-programmable relays (NO/NC) with ratings of 230VAC 5A/30Vdc 6A.
Physical Characteristics
The device dimensions are 130(H) x 160(W) x 60(D) mm, with a weight of 1.0 kg (2.2 lb). It is rated IP 66 / NEMA 4X and approved by ASA+PC, UL 94V-0. The unit is designed for wall mounting.
Power Supply
The flow meter can be powered by an AC supply of 100-240Vac, 5W (5V @ 0.38A) or a DC supply of 9-36Vdc, 6W (5V @ 0.38A).
Electronic Performance
It is equipped with a Texas Instrument MSP430 processor with a 16-Bit Architecture, and it operates within a temperature range of -20°C to 80°C (-4 to +176°F).
