Product catalog summary
General Overview
SIPOS actuators are designed for automatic and safe operation of industrial valves, compliant with EN 15714-2. They can be mounted in any position, with a recommended regular mounting for ease of local operation. The actuators are classified for ON-OFF duty (class A) and modulating duty (class C) across a temperature range of -20°C to +60°C. They operate with a noise level below 70 dB(A) and feature a corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy housing with a standard 2K-EP-SS paint finish. The actuators meet IP67 protection standards, with IP68 available on request.
Mechanical Specifications
Standard Version: Adjustable tripping torque ranges from 150 Nm to 4800 Nm. The actuators are self-locking and feature a manual mode activated by a hand crank. Positioning times are adjustable in seven stages.
Modulating Duty: Adjustable tripping torque ranges from 175 Nm to 3600 Nm, maintaining self-locking capabilities and manual mode operation. Positioning times are adjustable for various operational modes.
Coupling Dimensions
Direct mounting coupling dimensions are specified according to EN ISO 5211 standards, with detailed measurements for various flange sizes and coupling types.
Electrical Specifications
Power supply requirements are outlined for both standard and modulating duty versions, along with control and feedback signal specifications. Wiring diagrams are provided for direct connection and round plug configurations.
Technical Specifications
Detailed specifications for Electric Part-turn Actuators 2SC5 SIPOS 5 Flash are provided, including dimensional drawings and technical data for models like 2SC5010, 2SC5011, and 2SC5032. Key dimensions include mounting distances and specific measurements for components like motors and electronics units.
Mounting and Gear Box Versions
Different gear box versions and mounting positions are outlined, including direct mounting and base + lever arm configurations. The document specifies the position of the worm shaft, direction of rotation, and swing angles for each version.
Electrical Data
Specifications cover power supply requirements for standard and modulating duty, connection voltages for single-phase and three-phase AC, permissible voltage tolerances, and current specifications. Motor operation, protection features, and the use of a motor space heater are described.
Control and Feedback Signals
Information on control and feedback signals is provided, detailing binary inputs/outputs and analog position values for ECOTRON and PROFITRON models. Communication protocols like PROFIBUS and MODBUS are covered, with options for hardware extensions and software functions.
Positioning Time Adjustment
Various configurations for positioning time adjustments are outlined, including external analog setpoints and travel-dependent adjustable times.
Signal Assignment for Binary Outputs
Signal assignments for ECOTRON and PROFITRON systems are detailed, including default settings and optional configurations. The use of DIP-switches for local settings and the active high (NO) and active low (NC) states are described.
Connections
Detailed terminal and plug assignments are provided for both ECOTRON and PROFITRON systems, covering binary and analog inputs/outputs, relay outputs, and voltage outputs. Emphasis is placed on galvanic separation and potential-free connections.
Position Recording
Position detection is achieved through a precision metal film potentiometer or a magnetic position sensor, with options for non-intrusive commissioning.
Positioner Functionality
The positioner allows for precise control via an analog setpoint, with adaptive functionality to adjust threshold values based on system behavior.
Power and Consumption Values
Specifications for binary and analog inputs/outputs are provided, including voltage levels, current, and resistance. Relay outputs and external 24V power supply requirements are also covered.
Wiring Diagrams
Several wiring diagrams are included, illustrating connections for direct and relay board configurations, with examples of internal and external 24V supply setups.

Electric Part-turn Actuators 2SC5 SIPOS 5 Flash Technical Data General data SIPOS actuators are suitable for automatic and safe operation of industrial valves in accordance with EN 15714-2. Mounting Position The actuator can be mounted in any position. To make local operation easier, e.g. reading information on the display, a regular mounting is recommended, i.e. mounting position A (see page 9 und 10). The electronics unit of the actuator can be mounted separately (e.g. wall bracket) using our separate mounting kit (e.g. Order add-on S41). Duty classifications Standard actuator 2SC50..- Modulating...

Electric Part-turn Actuators 2SC5 SIPOS 5 Flash Technical Data Lubrication The gears are filled with durable gear oil. They therefore require little maintenance. The maintenance intervals after commissioning must be observed (refer to recommendations in operating manual). The part-turn unit is lubricated with gear flow grease and is maintenance free for lifetime. Degree of Protection The actuators meet the requirements of IP67 protection as standard (DIN EN 60529). IP 68 on request! They are fully screen-protected (electrical voltage and moving parts) and protected against the ingress of foreign...
