4. PLACING OR REPLACING THE BLADES ENG Tilt the safety grid upwards. Open the two hatches on both sides of the machine. Unlock the push locks on the doors on both sides of the machine and open the doors. Release the wing nuts on both sides of the machine.. 12

First slide the knife on 1 side of the blade holder into the blade slot at the desired height. (5 mm per slot) and then the other side. Check the correct position of the sliding guides when placing the blade. Check whether the blade is placed at the same height on both sides. Place additional blades as desired. Tighten the wing nuts to tension the blades. Close the doors on both sides of the machine. Close the two hatches on both sides of the machine. Tilt the safety grid down.

Before commissioning the machine: press the blades to check whether the blades are tensioned. If necessary, tension the blades. See the placement of the blades. Unlock the emergency stop if necessary. Turn the machine on. Also activate the regulator for the conveyor speed, if it is at the minimum the conveyor will not move. Check whether the conveyor belt is slipping or skewed. Tighten the tensioning bolts on both sides of the conveyor to give the conveyor belt the correct tension.
