Pneumatic Knocker

Product catalog summary
General Information
The pneumatic singold knocker is designed to address material flow disturbances in bulk solids, such as bridging and rest formation, where traditional vibrators or shakers are ineffective. It provides a significant impact effect with minimal weight, similar to a 'silo hammer' but without damaging silo spouts.

Construction and Functioning
The knocker uses a pneumatic magnet system to release stored compressed air energy, achieving high impact work. The magnetic impact piston, held by magnetic force, is released by compressed air pressure, striking the striker bolt at high speed. This impact is transmitted directly to the silo wall. The knocker generates an elastic shock without imbalance, and its effectiveness is maximized when the impact is undamped.

Selection of Knocker Size and Number
The appropriate size and number of knockers depend on the container shape. For round 60° cones, a diagram provides guidance, while rectangular containers require at least two knockers on flatter sides.

Technical Data
Specifications for various knocker types (K40 to K160) include dimensions, magnetic adhesion, impact weight, energy, impulse, and air consumption. The internal stroke and impact equivalent weight are also detailed.

Control and Accessories
The knocker is controlled by an electrical system with a 3/2-way solenoid valve, requiring specific working and pause times. Accessories for manual, electrical, or remote operation include welding plates, maintenance units, and pneumatic fittings.

Available Versions
Knockers are available in different materials and temperature ranges, up to 140°C. They are intended for indoor industrial use and are not splash-proof. Noise protection hoods are recommended for outdoor use.

Pneumatic Distance-Knocker Type QJ
The QJ model is suitable for rotating drums and changing containers, transferring impact via a piston rod. It is detailed in a separate brochure.

Accessories
Various accessories are available for installation and operation, including welding plates for different container types, soundproofing measures, pneumatic solenoid valves, impulser for timing control, and maintenance units for air supply.

Pneumatic Knocker-2

Pneumatic singold-knocker – General information 1 The pneumatic singold knocker is used on bulk solids with material flow disturbances such as bridging and rest formation when high speed vibrators or shakers with soft sinusoidal oscillations are not effective. singold-knockers achieve the greatest possible impact effect with the lowest possible weight. The effect of the knocker is comparable to the effect of the infamous "silo hammer", without having dented silo spouts making the material flow even more difficult. The effectiveness of the knocker is evaluated with the following rule: If the product...

4 Technical data pneumatic singold-knocker type K: Type *1 The internal stroke describes the distance covered by the magnetic impact piston, i.e. the acceleration distance until it hits the striker bolt. *2 The impact equivalent weight, often also called impact force, corresponds to the effect of the weight specified here, which falls from a height of one meter. The knocker is controlled by an electrical control with a 3/2-way solenoid valve. It requires a working time for the function (pressurized) and a pause time for returning to the initial position (exhausted). Working time is the time that...
