HTS II Typ 9535

Product catalog summary
Product Description: The Simmerring Radiamatic® HTS II Type 9535 is designed for open housings and features a patented sealing lip that significantly reduces friction compared to standard geometries.
Product Advantages: The seal offers good dry running properties, steam resistance, good thermal conductivity, electroconductivity/antistatic properties, and is suitable for water applications. It is anti-adhesive and can be easily matched to various housings.
Operating Conditions: The seal operates effectively within a temperature range of -80 to +200 °C and can handle circumferential speeds of 18 m/s at 0.15 MPa and 0.6 MPa. Higher speeds are possible when used un-pressurised, and special versions are available for alternating pressure/vacuum operations.
Design Notes: The hardness of the contact area should be between 45–65 HRC with a depth of hardening greater than 0.5 mm. Surface quality requirements include peak-to-valley heights of Ra <1.8 µm and Rt <10.0 µm for the housing, and Ra 0.1–0.2 µm and Rt 0.5–1.0 µm for the shaft. Tolerances for housing bore and shaft are H8 and h11 respectively, with a maximum radial shaft deflection of ±0.05 mm.
Fitting & Installation: Proper fitting is crucial for the seal's functionality, as detailed in the Technical Manual.
Applications: The seal is suitable for use in fans, gearboxes, compressors, pumps, electrical drives, mixers, and machine tools.
Material: The profile ring is made of PTFE carbon K212, and the clamping ring is made of stainless steel. Other materials are available upon enquiry.
