Tank Construction
All tanks are UL listed, made of welded steel, and suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation. Tanks up to 150 gallons are powder-coated white, while larger tanks use white industrial enamel. Standard duty tanks range from 10 to 5000 gallons, with fire-rated options available for smaller capacities.

Digital Controller
The DRS Digital Controller is UL508 listed and features a PLC-based system with a 6-inch touch-panel interface. It includes dual level sensor inputs, leak sensors, and is MODBUS and Ethernet compatible. The controller provides various alarm and status indicators and supports relay dry contact outputs for alarms.

Analog Level Controller
The Simplex Analog Level Controller is a relay-based design activated by float switches. It is versatile and suitable for various tank level applications, including single and duplex pump controls. It is UL 508A listed and compatible with class-II flammable liquids or water.

Pumps
The Reliant Series offers on-board fill and return pumps with capacities ranging from 2 to 50 GPM. Standard pumps are Parker-Hannifin hydraulic gear pumps, with optional heavy-duty cast iron pumps available. Motors are industrial NEMA size, with various voltage ratings.

Options
The series offers numerous mechanical and control device options, including auxiliary hand pumps, locking fuel fill caps, various gauges, and alarms. Duplex pump systems and gravity-fed day tanks are also available, along with fuel oil coolers and a range of pumps and motors.

Specifications
The day tank system is designed for use with combustible liquids as defined by NFPA321, specifically class II or class III liquids with a flash point at or above 100°F. The system must comply with NFPA30, NFPA31, NFPA37, UL80, and UL142 standards. The tank is constructed from welded steel with a double-wall secondary containment and includes a leak detector and fire-rated ball valves. Day tanks are factory leak tested at 3PSI and must bear the UL 142 label.

Installation
The day tank should be installed adjacent to the prime mover on a housekeeping pad and anchored securely. Connections should be made using schedule 40, ASTM A 53, black iron pipe with unions for easy service and removal. Vent sizes and other connections must comply with local codes and project specifications.

Fuel Delivery System
The system includes a duplex fuel oil pump and controller with automatic alternator for fuel supply. Pumps are direct drive, motor-driven, and TEFC construction, suitable for continuous duty at 40°C. Fire-rated shutoff ball valves and a suction strainer are included for each pump.

Day Tank Level Controller
A UL Listed, integrated digital level controller provides differential level control, pump alternation, and system alarms. The controller features a PLC-based system with a 6-inch color touch-panel interface and MODBUS/Ethernet compatibility.

Testing and Documentation
The day tank is supplied with manufacturer test certificates for pressure, leak proof, and structural integrity tests. An illustrated manual includes operation descriptions, installation instructions, troubleshooting, and maintenance guidelines.

Warranty and Manufacturer Requirements
A 2-year field service warranty covers all parts and labor. The system must be designed and manufactured by a single supplier with at least 10 years of experience.
