Overview
The document provides technical specifications and installation guidelines for various grease and starch separators, primarily from the Apollo range, designed for both underground and above-ground installations. These devices are used to separate grease and starch from wastewater, ensuring compliance with sanitation regulations.
Specifications
The separators are available in different sizes, with detailed dimensions and capacities provided for each model. They are constructed from materials like polyethylene and stainless steel, offering a 20-year warranty against corrosion. The document includes tables listing the dimensions, storage volumes, and optional features for each model.
Installation Guidelines
The document outlines installation procedures for different scenarios, including installations on non-hydromorphous ground, with or without a water table, and above ground. Key installation requirements include ensuring the device is level, providing adequate aeration to evacuate gases, and maintaining accessibility for maintenance. Specific recommendations are made for aeration pipe diameters and protective measures if the installation area is subject to vehicle loads.
Options and Accessories
Various optional features are available, such as screw-on extension shafts, grease level alarms, and extraction devices. The document also mentions the possibility of remote extraction and anchoring straps for installations in challenging ground conditions.
Compliance and Standards
The separators are designed to comply with EN 1825-1 and are CE marked. The document emphasizes the importance of regular maintenance according to EN 1825-2 standards.
Contact Information
The document provides contact details for SIMOP, the manufacturer, including their address, phone number, fax, and email.
Technical Specifications
The document outlines the specifications for waste collectors and neutralizing filters made of polyethylene. The waste collector models CD2/080 and CD2/950 have capacities of 80 liters and 780 liters, respectively. They include a cylindrical polyethylene tank, PVC connecting sleeves, and a removable basket with a stainless steel grid. The neutralizing filter is designed to neutralize battery acids and includes a high-density polyethylene tank and a basket with a stainless steel grid.
Operation and Maintenance
The waste collector filters solid matter from raw water, directing cleared water downstream. Maintenance involves removing waste from the basket and checking for sludge. The neutralizing filter uses crushed marble to neutralize acids, requiring regular replenishment of marble and biannual cleaning.
Installation Instructions
For grease separators, the device should be buried close to the treatment area, with specific instructions for earthwork, backfilling, and sensor installation. The document emphasizes the importance of following EN 1825-2 standards and provides guidelines for installation on non-hydromorphous ground.
Options and Accessories
Various options are available, including extension shafts and frames made of stainless steel or cast iron, and sensors for detecting grease and sludge levels. The document also includes a questionnaire for determining the appropriate grease separator based on specific usage scenarios.
Key Parameters
- Waste collector capacities: 80 liters and 780 liters
- Neutralizing filter marble requirements: 75 kg for FN2/500, 100 kg for FN2/950
- Sensor cable length: up to 200 m
- Ambient temperature range for alarm system: -20 °C to 50 °C
Recommendations
Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance, including waste removal, marble replenishment, and sensor inspection. Installation should be performed by professionals, and adherence to relevant standards is necessary to ensure safety and functionality.
Installation Instructions for Pre-Treatment Devices in Polyethylene
  • Ground with Water Table or Hydromorphous Ground: Ensure water level does not exceed the tank's upper cone. Follow NF EN 1825-2 standard for grease separators. Maintain water under invert level during installation.
  • Steps:
    1. Excavate to provide 0.50 m space around the device.
    2. Create a reinforced concrete slab (350 kg/m3 cement, 15 cm minimum thickness).
    3. Place the device and connect inlet and outlet pipes.
    4. Install a sensor for alarms before filling with water.
    5. Partially fill with clean water up to 50 cm from the bottom.
    6. Pour a second layer of fluid concrete slab.
    7. For green areas, use polyethylene extension shafts. For vehicle areas, use a self-supporting armoured concrete slab.
    8. Install a piezometer to monitor groundwater levels.
Installation Instructions for Underground Horizontal GRP Tanks
  • Stabilized and Non-Hydromorphous Ground: Ensure ground is non-flooded and stable.
  • Steps:
    1. Excavate and compact sand at the bottom.
    2. Place the device and connect pipes.
    3. Install a sensor for alarms before filling with water.
    4. Partially fill with clear water up to 50 cm from the bottom.
    5. Backfill with sand, ensuring hydraulic compaction.
    6. For green areas, use polyethylene extension shafts. For vehicle areas, use a self-supporting armoured concrete slab.
