Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides detailed information on NS/NSB pressure filters designed for removing iron, manganese, and ammonium, neutralizing acidity, and removing suspended matter from water. These filters are suitable for domestic and small industrial well pump installations and can operate automatically or manually.
Specifications: The filters are available in various models (NS/NSB 20-200) with different flow capacities, tank diameters, and operating pressures. They are constructed with materials like steel coated with plastic enamel or hot galvanized steel.
Working Principle: The filters operate on aeration and filtration principles. Raw water is aerated to precipitate impurities, which are then filtered out. Regular backwashing is required to maintain efficiency.
Components: The system includes a compressor unit for aeration, a filter tank with a valve system, and a control panel for managing operations. The control panel can be adjusted for backwash scheduling and is available in simple and advanced versions.
Installation: Filters can be installed before or after the pressure tank, depending on whether the entire water supply or only part of it needs treatment. Installation diagrams are provided for models NS/NSB 20, 40, and 60.
Maintenance: Manual filters require regular backwashing, typically once or twice a week, while automatic filters are suitable for larger water supplies where manual backwash is undesirable.
Filter Media: The document describes the use of Nevtraco for iron removal and acidity correction, Hydrolit-Mn for manganese removal, and Magno-Dol for additional acidity correction and corrosion protection.
Control Panels: The NSB control panel is designed for smaller models, while the TF 5 control panel offers advanced functions for larger models, including adjustable programs for air and water rinse.

Pressure filter plants NS/NSB-2

APPLICATION > A pressure filter is designed to treat rawwater from a boring or a well so that the qua- lity complies with the standards of drinking water. The plant is dimensioned according tothe actual raw water type. WORKING PRINCIPLE > The working principle of a Eurowater pressu-re filter is based on aeration and filtration. When the raw water is aerated iron, mangan- ese and mechanical impurities precipitate assmall particles of a filterable size. Thissuspended matter is removed by filtration in the pressure filter. At regular intervals depen- dent on raw water impurity and water consumption...

Pressure filter plants NS/NSB-3

APPLICATION MAINTENANCE OF THE PLANT PRESSURE FILTER > A manual pressure filter is highly suitable forsmall and medium drinking water supplies where a certain maintenance of the plant is acceptable. Especially suitable for houses and farms situated outside the range of the public water supplies. Maintenance is limited to backwash at regular intervals which is effected by a simple regula- tion of the operating valves. The backwash intervals vary with the raw water quality, but will typically be once or twice a week. A backwash lasts about 30 Minutes. Consists of a filter tank with valve system,...
