TOPCHIM ENG-1

Technical specifications FT TOPCHIM version 1.6 Status as of 08.02.2021 TOPCHIM - Doped silicate mineralizer for acid protection. Silicate-based surface densifier and hardener offering protection against moisture and chemical aggressions (effluents, acids, slurry, etc.). • Silicate technology • Environmentally friendly • No VOCs, APEO, or PFASS • Permeable to water vapor • It strengthens the substrate and increases chemical resistance through a stable silicate structure. • Reduces surface abrasion • Protects against cracking due to water infiltration • Protects against efflorescence • Solidifies/Mineralizes porous cement-based substrates • Permanent protection against rising groundwater, salt water, and chemical attack • For waterproofing walls against moisture • Protects against acid attacks ( slurry, effluent , silage, etc. ) • Protection against carbonation • Protection and restoration of drinking water reservoirs, sanitation networks, wastewater treatment plants • Suitable for concrete, facades, walls, cellars, floors, pipes; for new and old cement substrates • Also applicable to facade renovation The substrate must be absorbent, free from dust, oil, loose or fragile parts, grease, and other impurities. Chalk and sand components must be removed before solidification, for example, using an industrial vacuum cleaner. Flexible surface coatings must be stripped. Concrete or cement-based substrates must have a minimum of 2 days of drying time. Concrete and cement screed TOPCHIM should be sprayed onto surfaces undiluted. It can be applied using a brush or roller to the entire surface to be treated. TOPCHIM should be applied in two or three successive coats, without allowing the first coat to dry. Each layer must be completely absorbed by the substrate. Applications must be repeated until the substrate is saturated, removing any excess product between coats. Substrate saturation is indicated when the additional layer of product is no longer absorbed. Treated surfaces must be protected from rain, condensation, and excessive humidity for at least 24 hours after application. Treated surfaces can be covered with an air-permeable covering. After 7 days, an airtight coating can be applied. Furthermore, the recommended consumption amount should not be exceeded. CAUTION: When combining TOPCHIM and HYDROPERL, TOPCHIM must be applied first. HYDROPERL can be applied after TOPCHIM has dried sufficiently (the surface must not be damp). For optimal results, both applications should be carried out on the same day. Furthermore, when combining the two products, subsequent treatment with HYDROPERL must be considered when using TOPCHIM. Depending on the substrate, an excess of product may lead to visual changes. Further information on HYDROPERL treatment can be found in the corresponding technical data sheet. Tools needed and tool cleaning Brushes, roller, soft brushes, spray bottle Clean tools with water at each work break. Before using tools,
