PRODUCT DATA SHEET SikaRapid®-800 P Hardening Accelerator DESCRIPTION CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES SikaRapid®-800 P is a hardening accelerator in powder form for cementitious dry mortar and concrete. SikaRapid®-800 P develops after a few hours very high strengths. SikaRapid®-800 P provides the following advantages through accelerated hardening of mortar / concrete within 20 min to 2 hours depending on mix design, fresh mortar temperature and curing conditions: ▪ workability time 10 – 15 min ▪ end of hardening 15-18 min ▪ aprrox. 25 MPa after 24 h at 20°C in concrete ▪ good strength development even below 10°C ▪ adjustable workability with retarder up to 1 hour SikaRapid®-800 P does not contain chlorides, nitrates or any other ingredients which promote the corrosion of steel. It is therefore suitable for use in reinforced and prestressed concrete structures. USES SikaRapid®-800 P is especially suitable for any application where high early strength development plays a major role, or is of crucial importance within the first hours. APPLICATION INFORMATION Recommended Dosage Up to 5 % by weight of cement (according to the target accelerating effect) Note: Preliminary testing is required to determine the exact dosage for specific conditions. Please contact Sika technical service for more information and advice. SikaRapid®-800 P may be combined with many other Sika products like Sika® ViscoCrete®. To adjust begin of setting, the addition of a retarder is recommended.
