Product catalog summary
Product Overview: Sika® Lightcrete-400 is a foaming agent designed for creating lightweight porous concrete, suitable for use in recreational rooms. It is particularly effective for concrete with a raw density of 0.5 - 1.5 kg/dm³, providing thermal insulation and serving as a compensation or insulation layer in construction.
Applications: The product is ideal for lightweight porous concrete applications, including thermal insulation, structural construction, civil engineering, and as a flowable filling mix for excavations and old sewers.
Characteristics and Advantages: When used with Sika® Foam devices SG 70 or SG S9 P, Sika® Lightcrete-400 produces a stable foam that, when mixed with concrete, results in low-emission, lightweight porous concrete. It offers easy workability, flowable consistency, and improved thermal insulation.
Product Information: The product is composed of an organic surfactant and is available in 200 kg drums or 1000 kg containers. It has a shelf life of at least one year and should be stored in conditions protecting it from frost and contamination.
Application Information: The recommended dosage is 150 - 230 g per 100 litres of foam. Proper mixing and dispensing are crucial to achieving the desired concrete properties. Sika® Stabilizer ST 3 is recommended for pumping lightweight concrete to prevent pore destruction.
Safety and Handling: Users should refer to the Safety Data Sheet for safe handling, storage, and disposal information. Local regulations may affect product data and usage recommendations.
Legal Notes: Sika provides product information based on current knowledge and experience, but users must test the product's suitability for their specific applications. Sika reserves the right to modify product properties.

PRODUCT DATA SHEET Sika® Lightcrete-400 FoamING AGENT for low-emission lightweight porous concrete DESCRIPTION CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES Sika® Lightcrete-400 is a universally utilisable foaming agent for the production of lightweight porous concrete for use in recreational rooms. With Sika® Foam devices SG 70 or SG S9 P, Sika® Lightcrete-400, water and air generate a stable foam. This foam is then mixed into the output concrete in the concrete mixer. The resulting air pore content in the mortar cause: ▪ Low emission lightweight porous concrete ▪ An easily workable, flowable consistency ▪ Pumping capability due to stable air pores ▪ A targeted bulk density setting and strength setting An improved thermal insulation USES Sika® Lightcrete-400 is particularly suitable for lightweight porous concrete: ▪ Preferably with raw density of 0.5 - 1.5 kg/dm³ ▪ As thermal insulation ▪ As a compensation / insulation layer in structural construction and civil engineering ▪ As a light, flowable filling mix e.g. for excavations, old sewers, formwork blocks, etc. ▪ For utilisation in recreational rooms APPROVALS / CERTIFICATES Emission testing according to AgBB Emission testing according to M1 PRODUCT INFORMATION Composition Organic surfactant Drum: 200 kg Replacement container: 1000 kg Appearance / Colour Fluid / colourless - light yellow Shelf life Minimum of 1 year shelf life in sealed containers. Mix before using after longer storage times. Storage conditions Protect against frost, strong sunlight and contamination. Utilise clean tanks and containers when delivered in bulk. APPLICATION INFORMATION Recommended dosage The dosage of the Sika® Lightcrete-400, as well as the foam production and the addition of foam is executed via the Sika® Foam devices SG 70 and/or SG S9 P. The consumption of the foaming agent is approximately 150-230 g/100 litres of foam per device model. The required quantity of foam depends on the desired lightweight porous concrete bulk density. A uniform output consistency as well as sufficient mixing time must be taken into account when producing lightweight porous concrete. When pumping lightweight porous concrete with low bulk density, it is...
