SHIELDED CABINETS www.siepel.com The great evolution of the wireless technologies over the last few years creates a more and more perturbed electromagnetic environment, over a wide frequency range. As a consequence, during R&D or final testing of electronics or radio products, this polluted environment can be the source of various unwanted interferences or emissions. Designed to protect information processing equipment, or more simply to isolate your sensitive equipment, shielded cabinets can be used during your R&D processes or for functional testing. Using the same shielding sandwich panel technology as our shielded room, SIEPEL racks and cabinets guarantee identical performances levels. The absorbers (ferrite, foam or hybrid) ensure low reflections on a wide range of frequencies, and make it possible to perform low power tests. According to customs needs, SIEPEL cabinets can be fitted with various systems of opening as well as with specific arrangements (window, shielded gloves, …) and can be built with custom dimensions. MAIN FEATURES • • • • • • • Suitable for small RF / microwave devices and/or antennas Custom design and dimensions available Knife edge shielded door for high shielding effectiveness performances (120 dB @ 1 GHz) up to 40 GHz Upgradeable and flexible Ruggedized for lab life Easily movable and space saving Cabinet can be fitted with various available feedthrough: RF connectors, Honeycomb air vents, Fibre optics waveguides (pipe penetrations), Data signals filters, Power filters (AC, DC) with internal outlets, Control line filters, data lines filters (up to 2 Mbits/s), USB / Ethernet / LAN / RS232 fibre optics converters, See-through shielded window… Electromagnetic absorbers. In order to create a quiet and stable EM environment and to ensure a high repeatability of measurements, cabinets can be internally lined with electromagnetic absorbers: - Ferrite tiles absorbers - frequency range 30 MHz – 1 GHz (see Ferrite absorbers technical data sheet) - Foam pyramidal absorbers - frequency range 800 MHz – 40 GHz (see Broadband pyramidal absorbers technical data sheet) STRONG FIELD / COMPROMISING SIGNALS SHIELDED RACKS • Shielding effectiveness: 120 dB at 1 GHz • Usual external dimensions: L x W x H = 1030 x 670 x 1980 mm • Equipments: - Internal cabinet is fitted with a specific profile structure to receive equipment such as rackable frame 22’’ - Slide - 4 casters installed on shielded cabinet • Advantages: - Possibility to protect simultaneously few equipment’s from outside - Easy moving between laboratories - High performances SIEPEL SAS – ZA de Kermarquer - 56470 La Trinité-sur-Mer FRANCE Ph.+33(0)2 97 55 74 95- Fax +33(0)2 97 55 84 55 – www.siepel.com International Sales Manager: Matthieu GUESNÉ m.guesne@siepel.com Domestic Sales Manager: Stéphane TANGUY s.tanguy@siepel.com Customer Relations Manager: Stéphanie JÉGAT s.jegat@siepel.com –
