The most of failures for mining pipes which always transports the solids-water mixture such as coal sludge, ore slurry or granular materials is the wearing out of pipe wall thickness. The steel pipe has good pressure resistance but the mechanical abrasion of steel is very significant which makes the steel pipe fails and need to be replaced very frequency. The PEI 00 polyethylene pipe has better corrosive proof property than steel pipe, and its friction factor is less steel so it has also better abrasion resistance than steel pipe. Goldstone has developed a proprietary composite pipe, which has a new liner co-extruded on the PEI 00 pipe that provides a superior abrasion resistance and lower cost of production. So this new type of pipe with liner can offer a much longer service life span in operation. In other hand, Goldstone Orient gives another option of using reinforced HDPE pipe for mining industry. Those pipe has add the reinforcement material to offer the higher pipe pressure resistance, close to steel pipe working pressure, but better anti-corrosive and abrasion proof, and much longer service time, so it will be a good substitute of steel pipe in the application.
