Electrical Specification
The encoder operates with a supply voltage range of 9 to 30 Vdc, with polarity protection, and a specific 5 Vdc ±5% option. Current consumption varies based on configuration: Gray sink/source and Binary/Gray configurations have typical and maximum current values at both 24 Vdc and 5 Vdc. Output signals include Gray and Binary with short-circuit protection, and inputs are specified for transition and hold functions with defined voltage levels and delays. The frequency range is 0 to 50 kHz with an accuracy of ±1/2 LSB. Connectors and accessories are specified with part numbers.
Connection Details
The connection pin layout is provided for both Gray and Binary/Gray configurations, detailing the function of each pin from A to N.
Mechanical Specification
The encoder supports a maximum shaft speed of 6,000 rpm mechanically, with electrical speed dependent on frequency and resolution. It has a moment of inertia of 2.6 x 10-6 kgm2, and maximum radial and axial shaft loads of 60 N and 50 N, respectively. The shaft is made of stainless steel, and the housing is anodized aluminum. The device weighs approximately 500 g and is rated IP 65 for protection. Operating and storage temperatures range from -25°C to +70°C. Vibration and shock resistance are specified.
Options and Configurations
Various options are available for output type, shaft size, connection type, supply voltage, and internal bit use. Line counts and specific configurations are detailed for customization.
