M40 Battery Pack Vent Valve Breather Pressure Relief Pressure Difference Waterproof Ventilation Plug
The MILVENT® MIV-4015EXB is designed for battery pack applications, particularly in large electric vehicle (EV) battery packs. It ensures high airflow, pressure equalization, and condensation reduction by allowing air to flow freely in and out of sealed enclosures.
The product is made from PA6 material with a UL94V0 flame resistance grade. It meets IP67, IP68, and IP69K protection standards and operates effectively in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +125°C, making it suitable for tough environments.
The vent can open and pop-up to release higher airflow when the battery pack heats up abnormally. It is effective for outdoor use when installed on the side or flat face of enclosures. The typical airflow is 12 liters per minute at a pressure differential of 7 mbar.
- Pop-up pressure for abnormal status: 100~200 mbar
- Venting hole size: 2000 mm² at 2 bar, capable of venting all gases in 3 seconds
- Recommended torque: 1 N.m
The product complies with IEC529, IEC60068-2-1,2,14, and IEC600-2-78 standards, ensuring protection against immersion, heat resistance, and humidity testing.
The MIV-4015EXB includes a housing, membrane, gasket, lock nut, and thread size components, all made from PA6 V0 and PTFE materials. The thread size is M40x1.5 with a 15mm length.
