The MPM10 series sensor module by Shenzhen MemsFrontier Electronics Co., Ltd. utilizes optical scattering to measure dust concentration in the air. Working Principle
The sensor uses laser scattering to detect particles. A laser beam scatters upon hitting particles, and a photoelectric receiver collects the scattered light. The microprocessor uses MIE theory to determine particle size and concentration.

Size and Structure
The sensor is available in single and double-row seat configurations, with different air inlet and outlet positions for models MPM10-AS/BS/CS and MPM-10B(b/c/d).

  • Protect from environmental elements like sandstorms and rain.

Output and Communication
The sensor outputs mass and particle number concentrations in automatic or passive modes. The default is automatic, sending data every second. Passive mode requires a query from the host MCU.

The data communication and control pins are both 3.3V as the high level, so the motherboard MCU connected to the communication should be with 3.3V power supply.
