The D-8208J-1 Backlight Stainless Steel Keypad is a compact, rear panel mount device designed for use in harsh environments, making it ideal for kiosks and public applications. It features protruding full travel keys with etched graphics for excellent tactile feedback and is built from 304 stainless steel, ensuring high vandal-proof capabilities. The keypad is dust-proof and liquid-proof, meeting IP65 standards, and offers a customizable language layout with LED backlighting.
The keypad's front panel, keys, and back panel are made from 304 brushed stainless steel, providing durability and resistance to environmental factors.
Operating at a voltage of DC 5 V ± 5% with a current rating of 30 mA, the keypad supports USB, PS2, RS232, and Matrix interfaces. It complies with EMC Standard EN IEC 62321-3-1:2013, EMI EN 55022:2010, EMS EN 55024:2010, and FCC Part 15:2010. It is CE compliant and has a lifespan of over 5 years.
The front panel measures 68mm x 90mm, and the keypad weighs 0.4500 kg.
The keypad operates in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +70°C and can be stored between -50°C and +80°C. It functions in relative humidity levels of 30-90% and atmospheric pressures of 60-106Kpa. It has passed saline mist, damp heat, and dry heat tests as per IEC 60512-6 standards.

It has an IP65 protection level for the front panel and is vandal resistant with an IK07 rating. The keypad is compatible with all Windows, Linux, Unix, Mac OSX, Vxworks, and Android operating systems.
