About This Manual
This manual offers comprehensive instructions for the assembly, installation, operation, and troubleshooting of the 3.5KW-5.5KW Inverter/Charger. It is crucial to read and keep this manual for future reference.

Safety Instructions
Key safety guidelines include using only deep-cycle lead acid batteries, ensuring proper grounding, and avoiding disassembly of the unit. Installations and maintenance should be performed by qualified personnel only.

Introduction
The inverter/charger integrates inverter, solar charger, and battery charger functions. It features a pure sine wave inverter, configurable settings via an LCD, and compatibility with mains or generator power, supporting various home and office appliances.

Installation
Installation involves unpacking, site preparation, and mounting the unit on a non-combustible surface with proper clearance for air circulation. Battery and AC connections require specific cable sizes and torque values for safety and efficiency.

Operation
This section covers power on/off procedures, operation and display panel, and LCD settings, including operating modes and battery equalization.

Specifications
Specifications are detailed in tables for line mode, inverter mode, charge mode, and general specifications.

Troubleshooting
Guidance on resolving common issues is provided, including a fault reference code and warning indicators.

Clearance and Maintenance
Instructions for maintaining the anti-dust kit and ensuring proper clearance are provided to ensure optimal performance.

Installation and Safety Instructions
  • Install a DC circuit breaker between the inverter and PV modules before connecting.
  • Use appropriate cable sizes for PV module connections to ensure safety and efficiency. For 3.5KW/5.5KW models, use 1 x 12AWG cable with a torque value of 1.2 Nm.
  • Only use single crystalline, poly crystalline with class A-rated, and CIGS modules with this non-isolated inverter. Avoid grounding CIGS modules to prevent current leakage.
  • Use a PV junction box with surge protection to prevent inverter damage from lightning.
PV Module Selection
  • Ensure the open circuit voltage (Voc) of PV modules does not exceed the inverter's maximum PV array open circuit voltage and is higher than the minimum battery voltage.
  • For 3.5KW and 5.5KW models, the maximum PV array open circuit voltage is 500Vdc, and the MPPT voltage range is 120Vdc~450Vdc.
  • Example configurations for 250Wp modules are provided, ranging from 6 to 16 panels in various serial and parallel configurations.
PV Module Wire Connection
  • Remove 10 mm of insulation from conductors and use bootlace ferrules with a crimping tool.
  • Ensure correct polarity when connecting wires to PV input connectors.
Operation and Display Panel
  • The panel includes LED indicators, function keys, and an LCD display showing operating status and power information.
  • LED indicators show power source status, battery charging status, and fault conditions.
  • Function keys allow navigation and selection of settings.
LCD Display Icons
  • Icons indicate input source, configuration programs, fault information, output information, battery status, and load information.
Settings and Configuration
  • Settings include output source priority, maximum charging current, AC input voltage range, battery type, auto-restart options, output frequency, and voltage.
  • Charger source priority can be set to utility first, solar first, or a combination.
  • Additional settings cover alarm control, display screen preferences, backlight control, and overload bypass options.
Battery Management
  • Settings for bulk charging voltage, floating charging voltage, low DC cut-off voltage, and battery equalization are provided.
  • Battery equalization settings include voltage, time, timeout, and interval options.
Display Settings
  • The LCD display cycles through information such as input/output voltage, frequency, PV voltage, charging current, battery voltage, and load percentage.
Load Display Specifications
When the load is below 1kW, it is displayed in watts (W). For loads equal to or greater than 1kW, the display shows kilowatts (kW).

Battery and Discharging Specifications
Battery voltage is specified at 25.5V with a discharging current of 1A.

Main CPU Version
The main CPU version is 00014.04.

Operating Modes
  • Standby Mode: The inverter is not turned on but can charge the battery without AC output. Charging can occur via utility, PV energy, or both.
  • Fault Mode: Triggered by internal circuit errors or external issues like over-temperature or short circuits. Charging options remain the same as standby mode.
  • Line Mode: Provides output power from the mains and charges the battery. If 'solar first' is selected and solar energy is insufficient, both solar and utility sources will supply power and charge the battery.
  • Battery Mode: Supplies power from the battery and PV energy. PV energy can also charge the battery simultaneously.
Battery Equalization
This function reverses negative chemical effects and removes sulfate crystals. It is recommended to periodically equalize the battery. The function can be enabled in the LCD setting program and applied by setting an interval or activating it immediately.

Fault Codes and Warnings
  • Various fault codes indicate issues such as fan lock, over-temperature, over-charging, and overload. Each code has specific troubleshooting steps.
Maintenance for Anti-Dust Kit
The inverter includes an anti-dust kit to maintain internal temperature and reliability. The kit should be cleaned monthly.

Specifications
  • Line Mode: Input voltage is sinusoidal with a nominal voltage of 230Vac. Efficiency is over 95%.
  • Inverter Mode: Provides pure sine wave output with a peak efficiency of 93%.
  • Charge Mode: Utilizes a 3-step charging algorithm with specific voltages for different battery types.
  • General Specifications: Includes safety certifications, operating temperature range, and dimensions.
Troubleshooting
Common issues include automatic shutdown, no response after power on, and overload errors. Solutions involve checking connections, reducing load, and contacting repair centers if necessary.

Backup Time Table
Provides approximate backup times for different loads and battery capacities, noting that actual times depend on battery quality and specifications.
